The political subgroup of the Trilateral Contact Group has still not reached an agreement on the main issues, including the issue of holding elections in Donbas, says Darka Olifer, press secretary of Ukrainian representative in the group, former Ukrainian President Leonid Kuchma.

“The political subgroup has still failed to reach an agreement on the main issues, in particular, the issue of holding elections in some districts of Donetsk and Luhansk regions. The key component of a possible consensus is a full halt to combat actions. The same demand is also needed for the full-fledged work of the subgroups on economic and humanitarian issues. The same condition is compulsory for conducting mine-clearance,” she wrote on her Facebook page following the meeting in Minsk on Dec. 15 evening.
