MINSK - The political subgroup may agree to move Donbas local elections to a single date in April 2016, a source from the negotiations told Interfax on Feb. 8.

“The political subgroup is actively discussing modality of local elections and is offering various options for resolving the problem. If a draft law on local elections coordinated with individual districts of Donbas is adopted, the vote may be moved to a single date for Donetsk and Luhansk, most probably, in April,” the source said.

In this case, the elections planned in Russian-occupied territory of Luhansk Oblast for Feb. 21 may be moved, he said.
