LUHANSK - A subgroup on political matters of the Trilateral Contact Group for settling the conflict in Ukraine has resumed its work in Minsk, and plans to discuss the organization of local elections in Donbas, a source close to the negotiations told Luhansk Inform Center.

“The subgroup’s meeting is beginning right now. Its agenda includes the same issue, namely a bill on local elections in Donbas,” the source said.

The subgroup members will also discuss “the regulation of the media’s activities during elections and the organization of international election monitoring,” he said.

“The security and humanitarian subgroups will start working at about 1 p.m. The economic issues won’t be discussed in Minsk today. The Contact Group itself plans to start a meeting at 5 p.m.,” the source said.
