Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych has done more than anyone else to achieve the signing of the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the European Union, according to a study conducted by Research & Branding Group.

According to the study, which was presented at the Interfax-Ukraine news agency on Monday, 19 percent of respondents said that Yanukovych had done more than any Ukrainian politician to bring about the signing the Association Agreement, 7 percent named Batkivschyna faction leader Arseniy Yatseniuk, 6 percent former Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko, 5 percent UDAR Party leader Vitali Klitschko, and 3 percent independent lawmaker Petro Poroshenko.

At the same time, 11 percent of respondents said no politician in Ukraine had done a lot to bring about the signing of the agreement, and 50 percent failed to answer this question.

Research & Branding Group Director Yevhen Kopatko said that this question was open and that respondents were not offered response options.

The study was conducted from Sept. 15 to Sept. 25, 2013 in all regions in Ukraine. A total of 3,117 respondents aged over 18 were interviewed. The margin of error is 2 percent.
