Residents of big Ukrainian cities trust Nadiya Savchenko, a parliamentarian from the Batkivshchnya Party faction, more than any other politician, according to the findings of a social survey by SocioStream AG, which gauged public moods in big Ukrainian cities, and unveiled at an Interfax press conference in Kyiv on July 1.

“Nadiya Savchenko, today, has the highest level of trust among residents of Ukrainian cities, at 25 percent. It should also be noted that her distrust rating is currently at 35 percent,” SocioStream AG head Olena Boyarkina said.

“The leader of distrust is currently President Petro Poroshenko (63 percent),” Boyarkina said, adding that 15 percent of respondents fully or rather trust the head of state and 20 percent could not answer.

All four politicians, who were rated on the subject of public trust and distrust, are distrusted more than trusted, Boyarkina also said.

Sixteen per cent of respondents fully or rather trust Verkhovna Rada Speaker Andriy Parubiy, 46 percent fully or rather distrust him, and 23 percent could not answer. Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman is fully or rather trusted by 13 percent, fully or rather distrusted by 50 percent, and 25 percent could not answer.

The survey was conducted by SocioStream AG on June 9-27, in large Ukrainian cities with a population of over 100,000 people.
