Head of Kyiv City State Administration Oleksandr Popov has said that he discusses issues of urban management with Kyiv Mayor Leonid Chernovetsky only by phone.
"We maintain contact over the telephone. They [the phone calls] deal with certain decisions," Popov said at a briefing after a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.
At the same time, he refused to comment on Chernovetsky’s private life.
Chernovetsky’s wife Alina Aivazova recently lodged a divorce lawsuit with Pechersky District Court of Kyiv.
In addition, several media outlets have reported that Chernovetsky has been a citizen of Israel since 1994.
