You're reading: Popov forecasts court hearings after first round of voting

The deputy chief of Ukraine's presidential secretariat and presidential representative in parliament, Ihor Popov, has forecast that court hearings will be held after the first round of voting in the presidential election in Ukraine.

"There will be attempts to declare election returns as invalid," he said on the 1+1 TV Channel.

Popov also said that exit poll results usually show trends, while "official results will show which of them [exit polls] were accurate."

"The same order of candidates is seen in all exit polls, so we can speak about certain trends that will remain after an official vote count," he said.
