Podilsky Bridge across the Dnipro River in Kyiv will be open to traffic in the second half of 2013, Head of Kyiv City State Administration Oleksandr Popov has said.

"We will intensify the construction of Podilsky Bridge in May. Construction work is currently being conducted at one section, and in the middle of May there will be three sections, which will then be combined into a single project that we will complete in 2015. The bridge will be opened to traffic in at most the third quarter [of 2013]," he said during his visit to the construction site of the Ipodrom subway station in Kyiv on Monday.

Popov said that the construction of the subway line to Troieschyna would take about 2-3 years and the transport problem in this housing estate would then be solved.
