Minister of Economic Development and Trade Petro Poroshenko has declared UAH 86.6 million as his gross income for 2011, according to the income declaration posted on his page on Facebook.

Poroshenko owns three land plots, two of them located in Kyiv and another in Kozyn, Kyiv region. According to the declaration, he owns four apartments – two in Kyiv, one in Odesa and one in Vinnytsia.

The minister’s family has a land plot in Bortnychi (Kyiv region), an 80.66-square-meter apartment in Kyiv, a 312-square-meter private house in Kyiv region and a 29-square-meter garage.

The new minister also owns a Mercedes Benz car made in 2010 and a Bayliner 185BR boat. Poroshenko’s family has a 2008 Jaguar car and a 2011 BMW car.

Poroshenko has more than Hr 192 million on bank accounts and in other financial institutions, and also owns securities worth Hr 17.2 million.

Poroshenko’s family has no deposits, and the amount of their income last year amounted to more than Hr 41,000.

On March 23, 2012, Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych appointed Poroshenko as Ukraine’s minister of economic development and trade. Since 2007, Poroshenko has headed the Council of the National Bank of Ukraine. From October 2009 to March 2011, he headed the Foreign Ministry.
