Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has said that most of the Russian troops have moved away from Ukraine's eastern border.

“According to the latest data, 70 percent of Russian troops have withdrawn behind the (Ukrainian-Russian) border and this gives more reason to hope that the peace initiatives have a future,” the Ukrainian president said at a government meeting in Kyiv on Sept. 10.
