You're reading: Poroshenko praises results of Ukrainian servicemen rehabilitation in Bulgaria

Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has visited wounded Ukrainian servicemen who are undergoing treatment and rehabilitation in Bulgaria during his official visit to the country.

“Petro Poroshenko expressed gratitude to the medical staff (of the Kaleroya hospital) who care for the wounded servicemen who defended freedom of Ukraine and Europe and praised successful rehabilitation of Ukrainian servicemen. The president called it a good symbol of bilateral relations between Ukraine and Bulgaria that Ukrainian military and children from Donbas undergo rehabilitation in Bulgaria,” the presidential press service said in a statement on Thursday, June 30.

The servicemen thanked the president, the Ukrainian people and the friendly Bulgarian people for an opportunity to undergo treatment and rehabilitation.

Poroshenko handed over presents to the Ukrainian servicemen. He also examined the Kaleroya hospital under the Military Medical Academy of the Bulgarian Defense Ministry.
