Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has arrived at the anti-terrorist center of the National Guard, where he announced his intention to sign a decree on a temporary ceasefire soon.

“The president said he would soon sign a decree on a temporary
ceasefire. This is being done so that the terrorists can lay down their
arms, but those who do not do this will be destroyed,” reads a statement
posted on the Interior Ministry’s website on June 20.

The president gave awards and military equipment (thermal cameras and binoculars) to National Guard servicemen.

A plan on peaceful settlement in eastern Ukraine, proposed by
Poroshenko, will be released on Friday, presidential administration
deputy head Valeriy Chaly has said.
