 Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko considers it necessary to restore the institution of military prosecutors.

 Poroshenko said this at a meeting with leaders of parliamentary factions and groups, the presidential press service reported on Aug. 6.

According to the president, “the presence in battalions and task forces of lawyers and military prosecutors significantly increases the level of discipline, eliminates desertion and ensures greater combat capability of military units.”
