Ukrainian state will help the Donbas as a matter of priority, first Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration Hennadiy Zubko has said.

“The issue of Donbas development is a priority for the state,” he told the journalists in Kyiv on July 11.

Zubko said that the big industrial holdings working in the Donbas are responsible for the area’s development, but that the state will also provide profound support.

Among the steps meant to help the Donbas, Zubko mentioned the establishment of state institutions that could provide a social package for the population.

“If we want Ukraine to be united, we must enjoy the support of the local communities. For this purpose we must back them up not just morally, but materially as well,” Zubko said.
