You're reading: Premier opens two family-type orphanages in Luhansk

Ukrainian Prime Minister Mykola Azarov has said that orphanages in Ukraine should be liquidated and the country should switch to upbringing orphans in families. 

“The government has selected a policy of liquidating orphanages and upbringing children in families,” the press service of the Ukrainian government has reported, citing Azarov speaking at a ceremony of the opening of family-type orphanages in Luhansk on Saturday.

He presented keys from two comfortable houses with area of 360 square meters and keys from cars. Azarov also presented new household equipment.

Ten children will be brought up in each house.
