Ukrainian President Viktor Yushchenko has appointed the first deputy head of the Security Service of Ukraine, Valeriy Khoroshkovsky, as Ukraine's envoy to the United Nations Commission on Narcotic Drugs.

The head of state signed the respective decree on Wednesday, his press service reported.

Tyberiy Durdynets was dismissed from this post under the decree.
