Decree No. 224/2016 on the decision of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine dated May 20, 2016 on certain special personal restrictive measures (sanctions), signed by President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko on May 27, was published in the Uriadovy Kurier newspaper on Tuesday, May 31, and comes into force on this day.
As reported, the sanctions against part of Russian and other foreign journalists, introduced in September 2015, were lifted by the decision of the National Security and Defense Council on May 20 and its entry into force by presidential decree No. 224/2016.
According to the text of the decision, posted on the presidential website, sanctions against 29 individuals were removed.
