Party of Regions parliamentarian Yuriy Miroshnychenko has said that the Ukrainian authorities are not considering any scenarios for resolving the country's political crisis by force.

“By the way, the president said at a meeting with the faction that “we have every opportunity to free administrative buildings and even Maidan by force.”

But he also said: “I would never agree to do so because they are our citizens (…) That is why no scenario of force is being considered,” Miroshnychenko, who is also President Viktor Yanukovych’s representative at the Verkhovna Rada, told the ICTV television station on Monday evening.

The authorities have no plans to declare a state of emergency either, he added.
