KHARKIV - Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk and Interior Minister Arsen Avakov have acquainted with the work of the RICAS real-time intelligence crime analytics system.

“This is an intelligent system of real-time visual criminal analysis,” the head of the information department of the national police unit in Kharkiv region, Dmytro Uzlov, said, when presenting RICAS.

He explained that information about the committed crimes and offenses, the location of patrols, data from video cameras, etc. are displayed on the interactive map. The system allows to monitor the crime situation in the region, including in retrospect. It allows to identify logical overt and covert connections between the given objects and display them both in the form of geo-information and with the use of a series of numbers.

Thanks to the display of mobile objects on the map it is possible to track the dynamics of the situation and, accordingly, provide an adequate and timely response (including rescue service crews, emergency crews, utilities crews, ambulance teams).
