You're reading: Protester from Lviv region dies in Kyiv hospital

Resident of Lviv region Roman Senyk, who was injured on Hrushevskoho Street on January 22, has died in a Kyiv hospital, Lviv regional organization of the Svoboda All-Ukrainian Union reported.

“Several days doctors have been struggling to save his life, but the wounds were very grave. He had a serious injury to the lungs, underwent several operations, and one hand had to be amputated,” MP and leader of Svoboda Lviv regional organization Iryna Sekh said.

Senyk was 45 years old. He lived in the town of Turka in Lviv region.

Earlier the authorities confirmed the death of two activists, while opposition reported the deaths of four people.
