You're reading: Prydniprovska Railways detains offenders over five months of 2012

The security service of Prydniprovska Railways (Dnipropetrovsk) in January-May 2012 detained 1,176 people for walking on the track in prohibited areas, illegally traveling in freight trains and other violations, and 612 persons were fined.

According to the railways’ press service, the amount of fines came to UAH 21,000.

Prydniprovska Railways calls on people to be attentive at railway facilities and not to violate the rules set by the railways.

Prydniprovska Railways provides services to Dnipropetrovsk and Zaporizhia regions, Crimea, and districts in five other regions.

The enterprise includes four departments for railway transportation. Transit work is conducted at 244 stations, of which seven are for passengers, and 67 for freight.
