Prosecutor General of Ukraine Viktor Pshonka has stressed that the Ukrainian legislation does not envisage treatment of convicted Ukrainian nationals abroad, including former Ukrainian Premier Yulia Tymoshenko, who is serving her seven-year sentence in the Kachanivska Penal Colony in Kharkiv.

"The legislation of Ukraine does not envisage traveling abroad. There is no official law, the same as in any country in Europe or anywhere in the world, which allows a convicted person to leave the country for treatment abroad. Where did you see such a country, tell me?" the prosecutor general said at a briefing in Zaporizhia on Friday.
