Alexei Pushkov, chairman of the State Duma committee on international affairs, said Ukraine's refusal of a free trade regime with Russia will have serious consequences.

“When Ukraine faces the consequences of its refusal of free trade with Russia in favor of the EU, a lot of things will become clear. But it will be too late,” Pushkov said on Twitter on Tuesday.

The economic part of the association agreement and an agreement on free trade between Ukraine and the EU will be signed in Brussels on June 27.
