The Verkhovna Rada, Ukraine's parliament, has formed 29 committees and an ad hoc supervisory board and approved their composition.

A total of 339 out of the 407 lawmakers registered in the session hall voted for this resolution on Tuesday.

According to the resolution, Deputy Head of the Party of Regions
faction Hryhoriy Kaletnik lead the Committee on Agrarian Policy and Land
Relations.

MP Viktor Chumak of the UDAR party was appointed as the head of the
Committee on the Fight against Organized Crime and Corruption.

MP Spiridon Kilinkarov of the Communist Party’s faction was appointed
as the head of the Committee on Construction, Urban Development,
Housing and Utilities.

MP Yevhen Heller of the Party of Regions was appointed as the head of
the Budget Committee, another member of the Regions Party’s faction
Serhiy Kivalov as the head of the Committee for the Rule of Law and
Justice, another member of the faction David Zhvania headed the
Committee on State Building and Local Government.

MP Iryna Sekh of the Svoboda Party was appointed as the head of the
Verkhovna Rada Committee on Environmental Policy, Use of Natural
Resources and Elimination of Consequences of Chornobyl Disaster. MP
Andriy Ivanchuk of the Batkivschyna faction led the Committee on
Economic Policy.

MP Hryhoriy Nemyria of the Batkivschyna faction was appointed as the
head of the Committee on European Integration, another MP of the faction
Andriy Kozhemiakin headed the Committee on Legislative Support of Law
Enforcement.

MP Vitaliy Kaliuzhny of the Party of Regions was appointed as the head of the Committee on Foreign Affairs.

MP Valeriy Omelchenko of the Party of Regions led the Committee on Information Support and Information Technologies.

MP Viacheslav Kyrylenko of the Batkivschyna faction headed the
Committee on Culture and Spirituality, another member of the
Batkivschyna faction Lilia Hrynevych the Committee on Science and
Education.

Former Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Volodymyr Lytvyn was appointed
as the head of the Committee on National Security and Defense, MP
Tetiana Bakhteyeva of the Party of Regions led the Committee on
Healthcare.

MP Mykola Martynenko of the Batkivschyna faction led the Committee on
Fuel and Energy Complex, another MP of the faction Valeriy Sushkevych
headed the Committee on Pensioners, Veterans and Persons with
Disabilities.

MP Oleksandra Kuzhel of the Batkivschyna faction was appointed as the
head of the Committee on Entrepreneurship, Regulatory and Antitrust
Policy.

MP Vitaliy Khomutynnik of the Party of Regions led the Committee on Taxation and Customs Policy.

MP Valeriy Patskan of the UDAR faction led the Committee on Human Rights, National Minorities and Interethnic Relations.

MP Valeriy Pysarenko of the Party of Regions faction was appointed as
the head of the Committee on Legal Policy, MP Yuriy Nikolayev of the
Party of Regions led the Committee on Industrial and Investment Policy,
MP Volodymyr Makeyenko of the Party of Regions led the Regulations
Committee.

MP Mykola Tomenko of the Batkivschyna faction headed the Committee on Freedom of Speech and Information.

MP Artur Palatny of the UDAR party was appointed as the head of the Committee for Family, Youth Policy, Sports and Tourism.

MP Petro Tsybenko of the Communist Party led the Committee on Social Policy and Labor.

MP Borys Kolesnikov of the Party of Regions led the Committee on Transport and Communications.

MP Oleksandr Ryzhenkov of the Party of Regions was appointed as the head of the Committee on Finance and Banking.

MP Yevhen Marmazov of the Communist Party led the Verkhovna Rada’s Ad Hoc Supervisory Board on Privatization.
