The Verkhovna Rada Ukraine's parliament has expressed no confidence in Prosecutor General Viktor Pshonka, a decision supported by 247 parliamentarians on Saturday.
Newly-elected Rada Chairman Oleksandr Turchynov announced at the session that Pshonka had been away from Kyiv for several days.
Turchynov said before the voting that the Rada had addressed the
heads of executive government bodies, including Pshonka, to be at the
Rada on Saturday, but none of the acting Cabinet Ministers did so.
