The deputy chairman of the parliamentary committee for international relations, Regions Party MP Leonid Kozhara, has said that he could have been an effective head of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry, had be been appointed.

He said this during a video linkup between Kyiv and Tbilisi, entitled "Ukraine’s choice: what does it mean to Georgia?" in Kyiv on Friday.

"Most of my life, I was involved in issues of foreign policy and strategic planning… I think that my experience helps me hope that I would have been able to head the ministry and become a good minister," Kozhara said.
