The six year marriage of the daughter of the jailed former Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko Eugenia and a British rock musician recently came to an end, confirming rumors that have been circulating for several months now.
“Her (Yulia Tymoshenko’s) daughter’s marriage to British rock musician Sean Carr recently ended,” wrote Belfast Telegraph, a British news website, adding that the marriage “was said to have suffered from the strain of Yevgenia’s fight to clear her mother’s name.”
Sean Carr and Eugenia Tymoshenko first met in Egypt. And their romance blossomed in England, where then 25-year-old went to college and where she had been living since she was fourteen.
The couple had a grand wedding in 2005 in Kyiv and shortly made Ukraine their home. They also ran the Kyiv franchise for Ciro’s Pomodoro restaurant chain.
Carr continued performing with his heavy rock band Death Valley Screamers and leading a rock-star and expat life in Ukraine, the local tabloids reported.
