DNIPROPETROVSK – Retirees in Dnipropetrovsk have proposed that Ukrainian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Social Policy Sergiy Tigipko increase their monthly pensions by Hr 200, rather than give cars to people with disabilities and war veterans.

“As for disabled people put on a car waiting list, this program will
definitely work at least this year. At a meeting with retirees, which
was also attended by war veterans, a proposal was made to withdraw from
the provisions of cars and move to the monetization of this service. And
monetization is Hr 200 per month, according to calculations,” Tigipko
said at a press conference in Dnipropetrovsk.

He said that the government would consider this proposal and
calculate the funds needed for this initiative, and then it will be
necessary to introduce amendments to legislation and only then a
solution will be found.
