Sochi - The roadmap on Kyrgyzstan's joining the Customs Union will be presented to the presidents of Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan by late 2013.

“Kyrgyzstan is a member of the Eurasian Economic Community, which voiced its desire to join the Customs Union. A working group has just completed a big round of talks and we are advancing in developing the roadmap on Kyrgyzstan’s joining the Customs Union,” Viktor Khristenko, chairman of the Eurasian Economic Commission board, said at a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Khristenko said that in accordance with the plan, the roadmap would be presented to the presidents of the three countries for approval by late 2013. “It is not the case that ‘I have no idea where I’m going’ but real work related to studying the current situation in Kyrgyzstan, cooperation or risks there are for the economies of the Customs Union member states,” he said.
