At the convention of the Socialist Party pf Ukraine (SPU), on June 21, lawmaker  Mykola Rudkovskyi was elected the new chairman of the party, according to Rudkovsky's press service.

“A convention of Socialists took place in Kyiv. Rudkovsky was elected
the sole Chairman of the SPU. His candidacy was supported by 124 out of
160 delegates. As of today, Oleksandr Moroz has officially stopped
being SPU chairman,” reads the statement.

Earlier, a photocopy of Moroz’s letter to the delegates of the
convention was made public by media. The longstanding SPU leader wrote
that in case of Rudkovsky being elected head of the party, his letter
was to be considered a membership cancellation letter.
