Moscow - The Russian and Kazakh presidents, Vladimir Putin and Nursultan Nazarbayev, discussed the latest developments in Ukraine over the phone on Monday, the Kremlin press service has reported. 

During the telephone conversation, which was held at Astana’s initiative, Nazarbayev congratulated Putin on the successful completion of the XXII Winter Olympic Games in Sochi in terms of both sport results and organization, the press service said.

“The ongoing situation in Ukraine was discussed as well,” it said.
