Lviv, Oct 27 (Interfax-Ukraine) – All of the transport problems of Lviv will be resolved by the time of the Euro 2012 European Football Championship, Lviv Mayor Andriy Sadovy has said.

"On Monday, when [Chief Operating Officer of UEFA Events SA] Martin Kallen was in Lviv, we discussed the issue of transport services. Of course, there are some concerns, because we’ve never gained such experience ourselves – rather we’re adopting it from UEFA experts. We will resolve all transport problems in Lviv within 200 days of the start of the European Championship," the mayor told reporters on Oct. 26.

On Oct. 26, after a meeting of the working group on stadium management, Director of the UEFA Euro 2012 in Ukraine Markiyan Lubkivsky said that Lviv has to tackle the issue of the lack of city transport so as to organize the coordinated movement of fans and UEFA target groups during the championship.

According to Lubkivsky, this problem appeared because the stadium is located far away from the city center and the airport, as well as due to a shortage of city transport in Lviv and bad connections between Lviv and Truskavets.
