Member of Parliament Nadia Savchenko says she would like to call on Russian President Vladimir Putin to give up unhealthy ambitions affecting both citizens of his country and neighboring states.

“What would I tell Putin? – Back off Ukraine, back off every country you’ve got claws into – leave your czardom for yourself, don’t torture your people, stop humiliating Russians. One cannot live a second life. You’ll kick the bucket anyway, we’ll die too. Live a decent life as a human being and let other people live theirs,” she said, answering a question from a Russian journalist about what she would tell the president of Russia today.

Later, answering a question about her opinion on the president of Russia, Savchenko answered: “Today it’s my last time when I can speak frankly not as a politician… I have no opinion about Putin, I haven’t met him in person… But now I see Putin as a nothing. That’s my first impression… But the Russian television presents him as god.”

She later said that the Russian president is not a weak person.
