Russia was prepared to allow Ukrainian doctors to visit Ukrainian woman Nadia Savchenko held in custody on an exceptional basis, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said in a telephone conversation with his Ukrainian counterpart Pavlo Klimkin.

“However, Savchenko’s challenging behavior during a court session held on the same day and her offensive remarks to the court changed the situation, making it impossible to carry out such a visit,” the Ukrainian minister was told, the Russian Foreign Ministry said on March 9 evening.
