You're reading: Separatist leader says Contact Group to hold video consultations on Feb 12

The Contact Group which mediates the conflict in Donbas will hold a video conference on February 12, said Denis Pushilin, who represents the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) at the talks.

“The Contact Group will hold consultations on Friday, February 12, as a video conference,” he said, according to the Donetsk News Agency.

It was reported earlier that the political subgroup is due to meet on February 9-10; the security and economic subgroups are also expected to meet on February 10.

On the agenda are an elections bill, constitutional changes and security issues – the demining of 12 sites pre-agreed upon with members of the Contact Group.

Meanwhile, a source close to the negotiations told Interfax-Ukraine that a meeting of the trilateral contact group on the settlement of the situation in Donbas region in Minsk next week may be cancelled because there has been no confirmation regarding the participation of Russia’s representative Boris Gryzlov,
