You're reading: Six die, ten injured in road accident in Crimea

Kyiv, April 23 – Six people have been killed and ten injured in a collision between a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter cargo van and a Gazel shuttle bus in Crimea, the Emergencies Ministry's press service reported.

The accident took place on Monday morning near the village of Vorontsivka, Krasnoperekopsk district, on the Krasnoperekopsk-Simferopol motorway in Crimea.

The injured people were taken to the central district hospital in Krasnoperekopsk. Seven of them are in a critical condition.

According to preliminary information of the Emergencies Ministry in Crimea, the shuttle bus was en route from the town of Armiansk to Simferopol, where the passengers were to undergo medical examination in the republican hospital. The Mercedes-Benz Sprinter was returning to Kyiv from the village of Chornomorske.

An investigation has been opened into the accident.
