You're reading: Some 11,000 Spanish fans, 5,000 Italians expected to attend final

More than 11,000 Spanish football fans and around 5,000 Italians are expected to attend the final match of Euro 2012 between their national teams in Kyiv on July 1, the Ukraine-2012 Information Centre reported with reference to the operational headquarters of the Ukrainian Interior Ministry.

“According to preliminary data, the final match in Kyiv will be attended by about 11,000 Spaniards and 5,000 Italians,” the statement reads.

Fans from Poland, Germany, Russia and other countries, which participated in the tournament, are also expected to watch the game at the Olympiysky Stadium.

More than 7,000 law-enforcement officers will ensure public order in the capital of Ukraine on July 1. Mounted police and police dogs will be also involved in patrolling the streets.
