Head of the State Border Service of Ukraine Mykola Lytvyn has said that the service is fully prepared to receive foreign tourists who visit the Ukraine during Euro 2012, and promised that there will be no lines on the border.

"We are well technically staffed at checkpoints, and we have a completely automated process of border and passport controls. The training of our people is at the highest level," he said at a briefing on Tuesday, when asked how the service would cope with the crossing of the border by foreign guests, including with the adoption of a new Customs Code.

"We are cooperating with our colleagues from the European Union and from countries with which Ukraine has a common border. We are introducing innovative approaches such as general controls and the checking of fans who come, on the basis of information received earlier," Lytvyn said.

He said that Ukrainian border guards have five levels of passage for those who will arrive for the European football championship.
"All of these issues have been worked out. As for the State Border Service, it will be done at the highest level. I do not see any problems in this regard," Lytvyn said.
