Representatives of the State Agency for Investment and National Projects as a part of the visit to the Silicon Valley (the United States) have agreed with the largest US IT corporation – Intel – on joint work over the national project Open World, the press service of the agency has reported. 

“At the meeting the sides agreed that a memorandum of understanding will be signed in the near term and a special IT laboratory, where new devices and technologies of design companies will be tested if they can be introduced under the national project Open World, will be created,” reads the report.

According to the report, representatives of the agency invited representatives of Intel to enter the supervisory board of Open World Company.

As reported, Open World foresees the creation of a 4G national information and communications network, which will be first used for education at schools. The state plans to transfer all of the educational materials for students in the digital form, and access to the materials will be provided via the 4G network using netbooks.

Intel Corporation has a long experience in the realization of IT projects in the education sector in many countries.
