You're reading: Statisics shows real wages in Ukraine 14.8 percent up in July 2016

Real wages in Ukraine in July 2016 compared to July 2015 increased by 14.8 percent, compared to June 2016 by 0.9 percent, the State Statistics Service has said.

According to the service, the average monthly nominal wage of full-time workers in July increased by 0.7 percent compared to June, while in annual terms it rose by 22.4 percent and amounted to Hr 5,374, whereas in June some Hr 5,337, May some Hr 4,984, April some Hr 4,895, and March some Hr 4,920.

The largest growth of average wages in July compared with July 2015 was observed in Cherkasy (31.5 percent), Ternopil (30.1 percent), Kyiv (30 percent), Vinnytsia ( 29.4 percent), Zakarpattia (28.6 percent), Kherson and Chernivtsi (27.8 percent), Ivano-Frankivsk (26.9 percent), Lviv (25.3 percent), Zhytomyr (24.7 percent), Volyn (23.9 percent), Rivne (22.6 percent), Kirovohrad (22.2 percent), Chernihiv (22 percent), and Odesa regions (21.6 percent).

The rise in wages in Donetsk and Luhansk regions (excluding the ATO zone) was 9.9 percent and 29.8 percent respectively.

The highest level of wages last month was recorded in Kyiv at Hr 8,649, and the lowest in Chernivtsi region – Hr 4,028.
