German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier has said the meeting of the Normandy Four foreign ministers in Paris on March 3 will be key and testament to certain achievements.

“We are seeing some progress at the ministers’ level, we are meeting in Paris on March 3. I think this will be a decisive key meeting, we will attest to certain success being achieved in terms of confidence in our peace process,” Steinmeier said in Kyiv on Feb. 22 before talks with Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk.

He said he sees no alternative to the Minsk process.

The German foreign minister also voiced his concern over what has been happening in the Ukrainian parliament.

“I hope the Ukrainian parliament will make proper decisions guaranteeing stability in future that will become a prerequisite for movement on the path of reform. I am looking forward to an exchange of opinions on the issue of the Ukrainian authorities’ commitment to reform,” Steinmeier said.
