You're reading: Storm hits Odesa, trees downed, streets flooded

ODESA - Heavy rain and strong winds hit the city of Odesa early on Tuesday, an Interfax-Ukraine reporter has said.

The storm caused traffic congestion and some streets were flooded.

According to the Miskzelentrest municipal enterprise, the storm
downed several trees in the city, and the enterprise’s teams are working
to clear away fallen trees.

According to the media liaisons office of Odesa City Council, at
least 60 houses were left without electricity. Power teams are currently
working to restore power.

As reported, Odesa has already been affected twice by heavy rain this
year. In the middle of this summer and at the end of May, the city was
practically flooded by rainfall.
