Leader of the Communist Party Petro Symonenko has said that the party's faction in Verkhovna Rada won't take part in the work of the parliament until the persons to blame for the recent arson of the Communist Party's office in Kyiv are brought to account.

“I address to the law enforcement agencies and demand they hold an
inquiry into the crime and personally bring to account those guilty,”
Symonenko said delivering a speech from the rostrum of Verkhovna Rada on
Thursday.

He called the arson of the party’s office as actions meant to “cover traces of crime” adding that this is “a fascist method.”

Symonenko stressed that he knows who are guilty in arson saying that
people close to ruling parties and parliament’s majority are involved in
the crime.

As reported, on Wednesday afternoon representatives of the State
Executive Service due to law enforcement agencies without using force
released office of the Communist Party, which was captured by the
protesters on Feb.

At 10 pm on the same day a fire occurred in the four-storey office
building at Borysohlibska Street in Kyiv. There were no injuries.

At 12:44 am on Thursday the fire was extinguished. As a result of the
fire, the basement, and first and second floors over a total area 220
square meters were damaged.
