You're reading: The Security Service of Ukraine accuses Konovaliuk of releasing state secrets

The Security Service of Ukraine has drawn a protocol on an administrative infringement proscribed under Part 6 of Article 212-2 of the Code of the administrative infringements (a violation of the legislation on state law) against MP Valeriy Konovaliuk, the SBU press service reported on Monday.

The protocol was drawn up on the results of an investigation by the Verkhovna Rada commission on scrutinizing cases of posting secret document on the Internet, which significantly impeded national interests and lead to economic loses at Ukrainian companies. According to the commission, the actions of Konovaliuk might have led to the loss of secret documents or the disclosure of state secrets.

The SBU has sent the protocol and other materials of the investigation to the courts.
