Kharkiv, Oct.19 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Three helicopter landing pads will be constructed in Kharkiv by the Euro 2012 European Football Championship for delivering medical care to guests and participants of the championship, Kharkiv Deputy Mayor for Family, Youth, Sports and Preparations for Euro 2012 Oleksandr Popov has said.

"They will be located near the Boris clinic, near the clinic at Pavlove Pole [Meschaninov City Clinical Hospital] and on the field near the stadium of the Metalist children football academy," Popov said at a press conference on Oct.18.

He added that setting up such pads would not take a considerable amount of space.

"This is a small medical helicopter for the minimum number of people, not a huge armed helicopter, it does not require [a very large] pad," Popov said.

The Boris clinic, which was selected for servicing the UEFA family, VIP guests, teams, coaches and official delegations to Ukraine during Euro 2012 in Ukraine, will provide a medical helicopter.
