You're reading: Three subway stations on line to Teremky may be completed in four months

The Demiyivska, Holosiyevska and Vasylkivska subway stations on the Kurenivsko-Chervonoarmiyska line of Kyiv Metropolitan towards the Teremky residential area could be completed and put in operation in three to four months if financed from the city budget, Kyiv Metropolitan head Petro Myroshnikov said during a hotline in Kyiv on Jan. 21.

"We have not much work left – approximately enough for 90-120 days," he said.

AccordingtoMyroshnikov, currently the three stations are overseen by general contractor OJSC Kyivmetrobud (Kyiv), are sealed from melted snow water and are isolated from the operating subway.

Myroshnikov said that the temporary closedown of unfinished objects would cost the city about Hr 100 million.

"There is no point in closing down [the objects] as this is senseless. We need to complete the stations and put them in operation, because we need [the stations] and they will significantly relieve passenger flows, as Lybidska station is overloaded," he said.

Iffinancedproperly from the city budget, the Lvivska Brama station on the Syretsko-Pecherska line will be commissioned in two years, Myroshnikov said.
