Ukraine's opposition will seek the dismissal of those people's deputies who combine parliamentary work with other lines of business, as well as those lawmakers who have dual citizenship, Leader of the Svoboda Faction Oleh Tiahnybok said.

“According to our information, some 20 members of the current
parliament, and perhaps more, are citizens not only of Ukraine, but of
other states, which entails legal consequences – depriving them of their
parliamentary mandates,” Tiahnybok said at a briefing in Kyiv on
Tuesday.

He also said that the opposition would continue to press for
stripping the mandates from MPs who are also involved in business
activities.

Tiahnybok noted that MP Ihor Miroshnychenko of the Svoboda faction
sent a query to the chief of the Ukrainian Security Service asking him
to provide a list of lawmakers who have dual citizenship. However, the
Security Service said that this matter was not within their competence,
the MP said.

Dual citizenship is prohibited in Ukraine.
