The Pechersk Court in Kyiv has arrested the property of Euromaidan commandants, ordering them to pay Hr 8 million each for damage of property of the House of Trade Unions, Euromaidan commandant and lawmaker Stepan Kubiv said at a press conference.

“I haven’t seen the ruling. There is no debt for leasing, utility
services, heat and power supply in the premises where we’re located. We
fully paid for it according to the receipts we receive,” he said, adding
that as of December 31, 2014, over Hr 1 million has been paid to the
trade unions, including over Hr 200,000 as compensation for damage to
property.

Asked what the total sum demanded by the trade unions was, Kubiv said
that according to the court rulings, the court ordered the payment of Hr 8 million by seven or eight lawmakers, including Serhiy Averchenko,
Serhiy Pashynsky and Kubiv.

“If we take Hr 8 million from each of us, this is more than the value of the building,” he said.

Kubiv said that members of the trade union presidium were put under pressure to file their claims.

Earlier the Law and Business newspaper reported, referring to a
source, that the court arrested all bank accounts where funds for
Euromaidan and Automaidan were collected. Accounts of two
nongovernmental organizations which collected funds for the needs of
protesters were arrested – Socially Responsible Society and Kyivans for
Reforms.

The newspaper also reported that all the property of the lawmakers
who coordinate the actions of the protesters in the seized buildings –
Pashynsky, Arsen Avakov, Valeriy Patskan, Serhiy Averchenko and Kubiv –
and the leader of Automaidan Dmytro Bulatov has been arrested.
