The trilateral Contact Group for settling the situation in Donbas will meet on the set date - February 17, Russia's envoy to the Contact Group and a permanent member of the Russian Security Council, Boris Gryzlov, has said.

“The next meeting of the Contact Group will be held in Minsk tomorrow, February 17, as planned,” Gryzlov told reporters on Tuesday, in response to some media reports that the group’s session was postponed.

The meeting will take place after the Munich security conference, he said.

“At it, just as during the meeting of the ‘Normandy Four’ foreign ministers and individual international consultations, the need to implement the Minsk agreements in a step-by-step fashion and prevent their slowing down was stressed,” he said.

This is Russia’s firm position, and Russia will do all it can within the Contact Group to secure the implementation of these accords, Gryzlov said.
