Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada, Ukraine's Acting President Oleksandr Turchynov has congratulated MP Petro Poroshenko, who leads the presidential race in Ukraine, on his victory in the elections.
“The preliminary results give reason to say that Ukrainians have elected
the president of Ukraine in the first round. I would like to
congratulate Petro Poroshenko on his election to the highest public
office,” Turchynov said in a video address on the Rada TV Channel.
